Spring Summer Haul (Part Two)

And on with part two of my haul. As you can see, I've been single-handedly boosting Mumbai's economy!! Ha!

Sheet Masks:
While I love regular masks, during the summer months, they occasionally just seem too messy. Who wants all the bother of applying something, then waiting for it to dry (which it never does in this humidity), only to have to wash it off again? Enter the sheet mask. All you need to do is stick it on your face, wait the required time, peel it off and rub the excess cream into your skin. Thanks to the influx of Korean skincare brands into the Indian market, you can choose from a variety of different types, doing different things and at different price points.
The Dachshund one that I'm wearing is from Innisfree and costs Rs 150. They also have sheet masks that cost Rs 100.
For slightly cheaper ones, go to Health & Glow. Mirabelle sheet masks retail at Rs 90 to Rs 99. More expensive ones from the bigger brands can be found at Sephora and the brand counters at Shopper's Stop. Those cost upwards of Rs 300. The holy grail of these sheet masks are the Charlotte Tilbury dry ones. But these don't retail in India. So unless you're headed to the UK, you won't be able to find out what they're like.

Flip-Flops/Slippers/Chappals:
Whether you buy them from the roadside, DMart or Tory Burch, flip-flops are a summer requirement. You need them when you go away on holiday. We Mumbaikars wear them all around the city. And they're very practical in the summer heat. I usually pick up my slippers from Aldo or Pantaloons. But these colourful ones at Accessorize caught my eye a few days ago. Yes, they come in a little expensive at Rs 1145, but I feel that if you like something and it's comfy, you might as well go for it. I'll be wearing these daily, so why not have something I like?
Even though my pedicure is a mess, they still make it look kinda summery. My kinda flip-flop!

Rings:
While I'm extremely grateful to that Absorb powder, I still prefer to leave my necklaces in their box when the temperatures start to rise. I opt for earrings and rings instead. (I usually have a ton of sunscreen on my arms, so I don't choose bracelets or bangles very often) I do have a ton of earrings in various styles, colours and metals. But most of my rings are only fit for the rubbish bin. Which is why I picked up some new ones from H&M. I'm quite fond of H&M jewellery. It's cheap, it looks quite expensive, and they have everything that's trendy right now. I usually don't keep rings that long, so a set for Rs 699 is a good deal for me.
I chose gold and rose gold, as these are the metals I've been loving since 2017. I was quite a silver person before that, however, I can't stand the metal now. I feel it makes me look quite sallow, and so avoid it. This is a set of ten rings that you can mix and match. Which means that each ring is well below Rs 100. I think that that's one of the best accessory deals to be had!

Makeup Remover Wipes:
Of course I didn't just buy one thing from Innisfree, I went the whole hog and tried out the store! Okay, not literally, but close enough. Another thing I picked up were these makeup remover wipes. I usually use wipes as the first step in removing my makeup. I follow it up with micellar water and then wash my face with a cleanser. If you don't have that kind of a ritual, I wouldn't suggest these wipes. Actually, the company wouldn't suggest them either, cos they say that you need to rinse your face with a cleanser after. And you do! These wipes do remove all your face make thoroughly. But they leave an oily residue on the skin. Also, despite what the packaging says, they don't remove mascara. You'll need something else for that. I do rate them though for the thorough way they removed every other bit of makeup.
They have a very nice scent too. And they're very affordable. It's Rs 550 for 50 wipes. Much better than Sephora's Rs 600 and something for 25 wipes, or MAC's 700 plus for 25 wipes. Just remember that you'll need to wash your face after, and you'll be fine.

Nail Polish:
When I saw this candy-esque colour, I had to add it to my basket. It's white, with small dots of different colours in it. It looks adorable on, and is just the thing for summer. It's very colourful and bright without actually being a bright colour. It looks lovely and girly. And thanks to those dots, will go with pretty much every outfit you own. The second shade is a neutral, muted pink. Again, very useful in the summer - but also the whole year around. It's one of those go with anything and look very professional shades. Something to keep handy if you work.
They're not the cheapest colours, but they're not very expensive either. Rs 300 is a decent price, I feel. I can't wait to wear these. Summery manicures and pedis, here I come!!

Don't think that this is then end. Part Three of my shopping spree drops on Thursday!

Till next time,
MumbaiGirl.
