My description says 'random musings' and this will qualify as the most random musing of them all.
A while ago I fell down the rabbit hole that is YouTube. It began on a rainy day when I had nothing to do (actually I had a lot, but I was procrastinating like a pro!). Like the best of us, I began with one video (in this case, Fleur de Force) and somehow wound up here.
Here, being a wish spell by a creator called White Magic. Exactly how you go from a Fleur de Force clothing haul to a wish spell is something only YouTube can explain.
I'm not a newbie when it comes to hearing about magic and spells. I've spent time in Ireland, where the 'little people' as they call the fay and the fairies are spoken about like you would the weather. Hawthorne bushes, like this one in the picture above have all kinds of superstitions attached to them. From making wishes come true, to never cutting them down for fear of bad luck, they are associated with magic.
These structures, which are entrances to tombs, are also supposed to be gateways to the world of the fairies. But I digress, back to the rainy day and the YouTube vid.
I scrolled through the comments, (yes, I know they can be bought. But I still buy into them.) and most of them said the same thing. "It worked!"
And so I thought, why not? Why not give it a try myself? What did I have to lose but a piece of paper, a little ink and a few minutes of my time.
The instructions are quite specific. Write your wish on a piece of paper. Put it under your pillow at bedtime, after folding it in three. Just before you sleep, you recite these words: I desire for my wish to come true. I have dreamt for so long. Once my eyes are shut and I am sound asleep, my wish itself shall come true. So mote it be.
In the morning, you take the paper from under your pillow, read the wish to yourself three times, tear the paper in half and toss it in the trash. And that's it. Go live your life and your wish will come true. It may take some time, but it will.
I'm a curious kitten, so of course I tried it out. I followed the instructions to the letter. Did it work??
Sadly for any testimonials from my part...nope. Not so far, at least. I'm still optimistic - I am nothing if not optimistic! - but clearly I am no magician! Hahaha!
Till next time,
MumbaiGirl.
